The Brother Edmond Drouin Library employs over a dozen student workers as Library Assistants who help us extend the reach of our services. While it may look like they’re just hanging around the library smiling and having fun (which we hope they are!), they’re actually helping us coordinate access to our resources whether it is lending out bones, checking out study rooms, or assisting us with one of our many projects! These students play an important role in the Library and we’d like for you to get to know them.

Where are you from?
Twinsburg, Ohio

What are you studying?
Exercise Science, Pre-Occupational Therapy 3 + 2 Early Assurance Accelerated Track

What activities are you involved in?
President of Active Minds and Pre-OT Club, Internal Director of Cavathon, member of Cavs Coalition Anti Human Trafficking, Exercise Science Club, and Trek Club.

Anything else?
Also, I am in Walsh's Honors Program and a Walsh University Student Alumni Ambassador. And then work two jobs (one being the library) and the other at Dunkin'! Love reading, volunteering, and going outside for fun.

Have you ever used any of the library databases?
Yes, many Honors students (me included) use Academic Search Complete (through the online library) for scholarly research articles to use in papers, our JHP, and our thesis. I just had one of my friends come into the library today (she was at circulation for a couple minutes at the end of my shift) because she wanted to ask me where she could find research articles for a nursing paper. I directed her to ASC, and she said it helped a lot!

Why do you like working in the library?
I love interacting with Walsh staff and students, you really get to know who comes in/through the library!
