The Brother Edmond Drouin Library employs over a dozen student workers as Library Assistants who help us extend the reach of our services. These students play an important role in the Library and we’d like for you to get to know them. Please welcome our next spotlighted student, Bridget Beatty.
Where are you from?

Akron, Ohio
What are you studying?
I am majoring in Clinical Laboratory Science, Pre-Professional
What activities are you involved in?
Choir, Chambers Choir, Sophomore Senator in Student Government, Vice President of Active Minds, Pre Healthcare Club.
Why did you choose Walsh?
Originally I came here for the Chemistry program, but I liked the small school size and that it is a catholic institution. Bonus that my best friend also goes here.
What is your favorite thing about Walsh?
I think that Walsh has a really great community, in and out of the classroom. I also like all the different events that student activities hosts.
How would you describe the library to a friend who has not been to the library?
Its quiet, its a good study space and the study rooms are really nice and homey. It's a really relaxing spot to be.
What is a resource the library offers that other students may not know about?
The anatomy resources, such as Gale Interactive: Human Anatomy.
What resource in the library do you use the most?
Recently, the study rooms but also the books on reserve. I am an avid library user.
Why do you like working in the library?
It's quiet, and everyone who works in the library is super nice.
