The Brother Edmond Drouin Library employs over a dozen student workers as Library Assistants who help us extend the reach of our services. These students play an important role in the Library and we’d like for you to get to know them. Please welcome our next spotlighted student, Emily Gruey.

What are you studying? 

Nursing

What activities are you involved in? 

Nursing Club and Science Club.

Why did you choose Walsh?

Legacy, My sister and uncle went here.

What is your favorite thing about Walsh? 

The community, I love that it is a smaller university, and I am able to know a lot of fellow students. 

How would you describe the library to a friend who has not been to the library?

Peaceful and Accommodating. 

What is a resource the library offers that other students may not know about? 

Gale Interactive; I love using the bone kits that you can check out for two hours and use in the library but the Gale Interactive database is a nice resource when I'm studying late at night. 

What resource in the library do you use the most? 

Online databases; Academic Source Complete

Why do you like working in the library? 

I get to see and help a lot of people. Working in the library has helped me be able to use the library and it's resources more effectively.
