Student Employment

Interested in working at the Br. Edmond Drouin Library at Walsh University?

Our student workers assist students and faculty by checking materials in and out, answering basic questions about the library and its services, shelf reading and shelving returned items. Some students are given special assignments, such as assisting staff with interlibrary loan, serials, book processing or other specialized jobs.

Student Library Employee Minimum Job Requirements 

  • Priority given to work/study students and current library employees
  • Must be able to reach books/ items on the upper and lower shelves in the stacks (use of a step stool, if necessary)
  • Have the ability to lift 20 pounds (job may require bending and lifting)
  • Have the ability to shelve library materials 
  • Have the ability to shelf read
  • May be required to assist in cleaning projects (cleaning shelves, cleaning computer monitors, cleaning desk/ table tops, etc.)
