In 2021 the Modern Language Association released the new MLA Handbook 9th Edition. While there are no new major changes in the MLA 9th edition there are some updates and clarifications of MLA guidelines. Many of these changes seek to offer more in-depth and clearer explanations on guidelines found in previous Handbook editions.
