OhioLINK ETD Submission Instructions

This brief guide will help students submitting their theses and dissertations to OhioLINK's ETD site.

Doctoral Nursing Students

Congratulations! You are almost finished. The nursing department requires you to submit your DNP paper to the OhioLINK Electronic Theses (ETD)  and Dissertation Center before you graduate. Here are some instructions about the process:

  • First you will need to set up an ETD account. See the Account Set Up Tab for instructions.
  • When you set up the account select Walsh University as the Institution Unit. You should then be able to select DNP and Nursing as your degree and department.
  • Select Create New ETD to start the submission process. There will be several pages including publication information and copyright. You may choose how to answer these questions. Check the FAQ page for details about copyright, submission to Proquest UMI, file formats and other details related to the process.
  • One of the questions under Paper Information will ask for Subject Headings. For Nursing this means National Library of Medicine Medical Subject Headings. You can browse for the appropriate headings to describe your paper on their website. Please select 2 or 3 if possible.
  • The final step will be to upload your paper. The system will only accept .PDF files. To convert your paper from a Word document to an accessible PDF, please see the Microsoft Word and PDF formatting pages in this guide. These pages contain important information regarding formatting and digital accessibility requirements.
    • One of the most common reasons a submitted dissertation is returned to an author is the result of the uploaded document not meeting the minimum accessibility requirements.
  • Your submission will not be complete until you have successfully filled in the required fields and uploaded your paper.
  • The paper will then be reviewed and approved for final uploading to the ETD Center.
  • You will then receive an email once the paper has been approved and added to the ETD.
  • You're done! Find your paper in the OhioLINK Electronic Theses and Dissertation Center
