What is WeDeliver?

WeDeliver! is an interlibrary loan service that helps you get the materials you need for your research and educational needs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You let us know the book, article or video you need. We check a database of over 40,000 libraries throughout the country to see who owns it, then send an electronic request to them. If they are unable to provide it, the request is passed on to another library that owns the item. More than 95% of requests are filled with this system, which goes beyond the scope of OPAL, OhioLINK and SearchOhio.

WHO MAY USE WeDeliver?

Any current student, faculty, emeritus faculty or staff member of Walsh University may use this service. There is no charge to borrow books or videos. Also, there is no charge for articles, which are emailed to you and are yours to keep.

Others, including alumni, may use the services of the Stark County District Library, North Canton Public Library, or their local public library. 

DELIVERY TIME

Most articles will be delivered electronically to the patron within 1-7 business days, though longer waits can be expected. For books, it usually takes up to two weeks for the books to be delivered to campus. That being said, the wait time for books can be as long as a month though for libraries farther away. 

RENEWALS

Copies of articles are yours to keep.  For other resources, the lending library decides if it will permit a renewal, and we have to request it BEFORE THE ITEM IS DUE. If you need a book beyond its due date, please contact the library. Unlike OPAL and OhioLINK materials, you can not self-renew these items online.

FINES

The Brother Edmond Drouin Library strives to maintain a good reputation among lending libraries and strictly enforces fines for overdue interlibrary loan materials. Overdue fines on WeDeliver! loan materials are $0.50 per day. In the case of lost or presumed lost materials, the patron will pay the replacement charge of $150.00 or a cost determined by the lending library.

Lost, Stolen, Damaged, or Destroyed

All items requested through interlibrary loan must be returned in the same condition when they were received. Do not write in or highlight library books.

You are ultimately responsible for replacement and processing costs for items that are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed.
