About Renewals

- Renewal requests must be made a minimum of 3 days prior to the due date.

- To request a renewal, please contact the library by email, phone, or in person.

- Items that are overdue cannot be renewed and must be returned to the library promptly.

- The length and number of allowed renewals is set by the lending library.

- Not all items are renewable.

- If a renewal is granted, you will receive an email with the new due date.

Overdues

Per Walsh's Interlibrary Loan policy, there is a daily fine of $0.50 for any overdue ILL item up to 30 days past the due date. Failure to return an ILL within 30 days will result in a bill of $150.00 for a replacement. If the item is returned after billing, the bill will be reduced to $50.00. Please note that these are different then the fines for books and videos requested through OhioLINK. For information on OhioLINK books, please see the circulation policy.

Habitual overdue items may result in the restriction of your interlibrary loan privileges.

  • All items must be returned or renewed by their due dates.
  • If a renewal request is denied by the lending library, the item must be returned by its original due date.
  • On the 30th day an item is overdue, your library account will be blocked and you will not be able to make new requests until your account has been cleared.
