What library sources are available to me?
Digital Campus students have access to electronic books (eBooks) from the library's catalog. If you are a student in Ohio but do not live close enough to Walsh's campus to visit the Library, you can still order books through our memberships in OhioLINK, a network of almost all of Ohio's college and universities, and SearchOhio, a network of public libraries. (If you're an out-of-state student, check with your local public library because they may have a similar program set up). Students also have access to academic articles from the library's large selection of databases. Digital films can be found through the library's website. If you need help finding something use the chat box or any of the contact info to the right.
Researching:
What is a database?
A database is an electronic resource that indexes articles and their citations. Databases can be multidisciplinary, such as Academic Search Complete or subject specific, such as CINAHL-Nursing and Allied Health. A database may have the full text of articles, links to articles housed in another database, or the article citation only.
How do I search within a specific journal for my topic?
Click on the Journal Title List link on the library's homepage (from the Library Resources box) and then enter the journal title. If available, the journal title will display with links to full-text for the journal. Next, click on the journal title and continue your search for a specific volume/issue or by keyword, title, etc.. If you have any questions please contact us.
How do I find a full-text article?
Many databases have full-text records, but not all. If the full-text is unavailable (.pdf or html link) always click on "Full Text Finder" to see if the article is available through another resource.
If it's not available in full text from Walsh's resources, you can request the article through WeDeliver, a free service, and the article text will be sent to your Walsh email.
Requesting Resources:
