Christina Koch began her career as an astronaut in the 2013 astronaut class. She served as the flight engineer on the International Space Station for Expedition 59, 60, and 61. One of her many accomplishments is now being the recordholder of the longest single spaceflight by a woman, 328 consecutive days. Her main areas of expertise are electrical engineering along with high energy astrophysics. These contributions are also coupled with her immense amount of time devoted to spacewalks, 42 hours and 15 minutes. Along with that, she has made the history books yet again by being a part of the first all-female spacewalk accompanied by fellow astronaut, Jessica Meir.
